it's not even cringe; it's just personal and unpolished and you've been taught to flinch away from vulnerability which doesn't mock itself
i have no explanation for this…
people are asking for a download link and as i am a person of the people, i must provide
book rec the simon snow trilogy
tempted to respond with “if i wanted gay vampire harry potter i would just read my immortal” but that would be mean so i won’t do that.
one thing i’ll credit night vale with is getting me back into reading. as a kid i would go to the library and get out like 10 books and read them all in a week but after i grew up i realised oh. reading is for smart people. and i’m kinda dumb. so suddenly even picking up a book felt really hard cause i expected to “fail at it” (whatever than means in the context of reading)
the night vale novels are not masterpieces but they are supercute and fun :3 the first one feels like home + has some sweet commentary on parenthood and family. the second one is uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you know what there’s a lot to unpack there. the third one has oranges and severed fingers (my two favourite ingredients for cheesecake).
MENTION OF THE HOUSE THAT DOESNT EXIST!!!!!!
thinks about cecil loving carlos as an act of rebellion
@mississpissi exactly……..………. lets kiss…?
i was also thinking about the romance of falling in love with somebody who wants to make you live your life again after so many years of not getting to have one that is defined by much of anything other than a professional role you’ve been literally trapped in…. getting to define himself as something other than a radio host… <3
